CONGRATULATIONS TO MICHAEL GREEN - WINNER OF THE CAPTION COMPETITION

We received 9 entries to the competition, with a variety of interpretations of what was going on in the photo, from body popping to airport security with a few film references thrown in too!

Thank you to all the entrants, and you can chuckle at Michael's winning entry and all the other captions below...

Insult my tea, would you! Defend yourself!

WINNER: Insult my tea, would you! Defend yourself! (Michael Green)

Reach for the sky and hand me your baubles (Brian Isham)

You will never take me alive, Skywalker! (Michael Green)

The airport security workers found that if they used twice as many wands they only needed to be half as humourless (Tim Evans)

I: "I'll cut you down to size!" Jo: "Enough with the height comments!" (Michael Green)

Which wally forgot to bring the pistols then? (Bob Dunn)

Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die (Michael Green)

OCV training courses include hedge laying, bridge building & body popping (Michael Green)

OCV's first and only task at the OK Corral (Michael Green)

...and if Jo hadn't been a judge, she would have entered "Inigo is quicker on the draw but overestimates Jo's height"

Also the photo raised a comment from one of our former members on the success of the patented "Kirby Spoon" - "It is good to see some things are conserved forever. I joined the OCV over ten years ago, and have since moved house four times, changed my job, had two children...and the spoon that was chained to the orange ball when I started IS STILL BEING USED!" (Charlotte Vinnicombe)

...hope we've washed it since then though!
